Sofa chair project
This I started yesterday. I had already made a different arm chair but it was a wee bit on the small side so went ahead with a different design.
The cardboard sheet in the top picture I'm cutting out to be the back of this sofa chair which you can see have already been attached in the second picture. The cardboard tubes are the future legs of this
monster where two of them have to be cut to fit inside the back of the seat.
So today I went ahead and got the legs cut to fit as you can see up there.
Then because I had to fill this hollow underneath the seat I cut out some sheets of cardboard, added holes for the legs to fit through and that would serve as to hold them in place.
Having the cardboard sheet hold the legs in place I started filling it up with leftovers of cardboard and paper, cardboard sheet lid..
More leftovers... another lid...
Until the final layer, tape that shut and...
Viola! The cardboard tube at the left is to be cut in half and used as some very low armrests on each side of the seat as I want it to be as spacious as possible.
Now I just need to glue on the armrests, glue on padding, then sew a cover and some soft fluffy pillows for seating and cuddling and Derek can go sink his skinny behind into complete and utter bliss.
Will be posting updates on further progress!

New clothes
Don't know why I never thought of having him try on the jeans from TreeDesign which no one around here fits in. Around comes the guy with crazy thin legs and do I even let the thought cross my mind? No. Those jeans just kept laying at the bottom of a drawer until now. They are a bit on the short side, but that's not a bad thing as it's not overly so. Also got out this wonderful shirt from Sadol to have him snuggled up on the couch all cozy.
Still need to braid that hair of his...

Project; Mod This Guy Unrecognisable from The Org Face Sculpt
Will need to get my hands on an airbrush to be able painting that apoxie clay properly to match the resin. All in good time.
I know that one ear looks a wee bit larger than the other, still plenty of sanding to be done to shape them properly. Pretty pleased with how they look so far so it’s not all bad. Will be moving to another part of his face for now and take the shaping of his ears once I actually sit with sanding paper and not a knife scraping and cutting away.
Used a bit of apoxie clay to close the eyes up a bit more here and actually like the shape they have now. His cheeks and forehead is up next to be slimmed down along with his nose and lip. Hopefully I will get some of that work down tomorrow to be able showing further progress.

Merida of Dun Broch
Got Merida painted not too long ago. It's 'only' been 3-4 months since she
came home and started feeling bad for having her laying around as a blank
face for so long. So yeah.. First things first; I got her eyes opened at long
last, she came home with her eyes closed as I wanted to decide for myself
how big they were going to be. Had to drill a bit from the inside to hollow
out the eye sockets a bit and after I outlined the shape I aimed to make.
Here with the first one opened..
Then the other..
Got out the pastels, brushes and got down to business!
Blush work down, moving on to the freckles..
As she's not quite the same age as in the movie I figured she'd have a lot
more freckles coming to since then.
more freckles coming to since then.
The eyebrows wasn't as much of a pain in the ass as usual to paint and
found they came out pretty decent, definitely getting better at
painting them ever so slowly.

Some gloss and eyelashes in place later she could finally get back on her
body again sporting her untamable mane of curly red hair gazing out
on the world with her blue eyes.
Now I just need to sew her her dresses to be able to really show her off.
A Much Needed Change
For quite a while I've been wanting to re-arrange the guys, and one wee lass,
as half of them would be hidden beneath a forest of feet. Rather have that be
some of their stuff as, let's be honest, it isn't quite as exciting to lay one's
eyes on.
There's a little handful missing their heads among the crowd and another 3 not
at all in the picture as they're missing bodies, face-ups, mods and what have we.
