Buy all the things!

When the first rolls around I will be going on quite a shopping spree. First off, I will pay for some clothing's I've had on hold but because of some money related issues I had to ask for them to hold the clothing until the end of the month. At least they were in no hurry and more than willing to still hold everything for me until I could pay up. So, what will I be getting? All of this!

A DollMore SD suit and a cute little dress. The suit I'm hoping Joshua (AnS Bamboo) will fit into, if not, well, then I'm sure someone else around here are willing to take it off of his hands in a heartbeat! The dress will most definitely go to Taffy (4S Olivia girltoboy), he was the first coming to mind when I first saw it.

Some nice socks, Taffy will most likely get the pair at the top while Liam will get the bottom pair.

Ayden (DR X Chi) will be the new owner of the jeans, not really sure if he will fit the hoodie, but I'll see. If not, again, someone else will definitely grab it around here.

Lucas (XD Alva) wanted me to get him this so, why not? It's really cute and I bet he will be, too, wearing it.

Then I have a headless little fellow, Norman (DF-A Bach), and because I absolutely adore DCs bodies and actually find it suitable for him. Also need an upgrade for the one YOsd from DZ here and will go with their new type which is absolutely adorable!

Also need to purchase some wigs. Jessica (Supia Juah) needs a proper fitting wig, done since getting her home, glad I didn't get one back then as I've since changed my mind and he went back to she again. Taffy also needs that one gorgeous wig from FMD in the Mint Banilla, he must have it!

I know I haven't got the guy home yet, but Jeremiah, Theodore's (RD Crystal) brother, needs a wig whenever I get him home and thought why not simply order it along with the two others? Also going to order up his eyes because, why not have just about everything at the ready for his arrival?

And lastly, Jeremiah himself, a RingDoll Amethyst. Going to be painted like his brother, wear the same style of clothing and be just as much of a prettied up porcelain doll. Getting all excited because now he's got a name, I know exactly what to get home for him, how to style him and it's going to be awesome!

And lastly I'll be getting these two gorgeous bodies. The Elegance body for Evan (LittleRebel Svein) and the Proud body for Kaleb (DollClans Kien).

Besides all this I'm also going to be getting some shoes from rRabit and some more flower crowns from AyuAna. Generally more clothing from AyuAna because of reasons. And shoes. Need so many more shoes along with more varied brown eyes. Hoping Vings will be coming back, they had an array of brown eyes quite a few of the guys here could have used. A shame Mako don't have any dark brown eyes in their collection really, and the few pairs they did have I've already gotten home. Need to raid DollShe for brown eyes as well. Oh, and get some tiny urethanes for Huang and Zach (Lumedoll Tyl and Rischa) along with some 8mm for Luke and Gilbert (4S Minggu and BF PF Didi). Why be satisfied with cheap glass eyes when you can get something better?

All this makes me sit and think to myself;

I need a better paying job.

Of group pictures and future resin plans

A while ago I shot an updated 'group picture' of the resin family in all of it's glory. Sure, still a lot of work left to do, but I don't mind nor care, I love having all these little projects laying waiting for me whenever I find the time. That's how I like to do things, while others might be of a differing opinion. Anyway, shot a similar picture about a year ago, and do time change things around for the better! Not all are in this picture and are off for face-ups, mods, or plain and simple doesn't have a body to call their own as of yet. Two are entirely missing as I didn't spare it a thought before after, they're sitting comfortably in a chair near my computer.

After taking this picture I finally caved in and  ditched my idea of modifying that dark beauty sitting right next to Merida. Jessica, Supia Juah in tan, who previously went by the name Kareem, wasn't to be a girltoboy project afterall, no, my mind wanted it much differently. She's to be some sort of traveller or refugee, not really decided yet. She will meet up with Merida and they will form a relationship. I've already decided on Jessica's outfit, a Kilt! She'd look amazing in one I'm sure and I found a pattern for cheap on etsy the other day, now it's just to find someone who'd be willing to sew it for me as I have zero time for that lately. That part is a bit sad, but it's life sometimes, and there are so many talented people out there who I'm sure would do a bang good job!

Else, my plans right now, what resin goes, is getting home a whole lot of bodies. Norman, DF-A Bach, will be getting a body from DC as I absolutely adore their style and I can't but stop thinking of how sweet he'd look residing on one of those. Gilbert, BF PF Didi, needs an upgrade from his PF body and will go up on a Pepper body instead. He just need to 'grow up' a bit more than his current state. His PF body I will probably put up for sale, thinking charging something like $80-$90 for it when that does happen. Also have this little guy, Mo, a DZ Jani, who's body I truly hate. It's engineered so very badly, he can't sit for shit without falling backwards, his knee joints are truly ugly, and for such a small body it's really nothing glamourous looking at in the long run. I'll be getting him a new body from DZ, their B27-001, one of their newer types which look ever so adorable and a lot more well thought out as well.
There are two more who's in need of a body, but for now, these three will be the main priority. The other two bodies needing home are both from SpiritDoll, their Elegance and Proud bodies, really love their resin and those bodies look absolutely stunning!

Will need to contact RingDoll about buying an Amethyst head separately. Don't like their sunshine bodies for such an innocent face and if I can't find their old type RingTeen body in WS anywhere I'll go with one from DF-A as I know their WS is a spot on match to that of RD. Will be painting and dress him up like Theodore and they'll be the brothers going under the name PrettyinPorcelain. Probably going to raid AyuAna for outfits now and then as they have such lovely garments in just the style they wear, How perfect is that?! No, but really, AyuAna are amazing, everything I bought from them some weeks ago still blow me away, all that lavish detail and the fabrics are all incredibly gorgeous! Really, do go check them out, support them, it's sooooo worth every penny! And they aren't even all that expensive when all comes to all either really.
Already have the eyes and wig picked out for him as well, already immensely excited for someone who's not even here yet and might not be for quite a while to come xD

Jack Frost Came Home!

Been waiting for this day since I found and paid for his ticket home back in mid-January. Only reason for the prolonged wait was a set of clothing from Endless which are still not entirely finished and will be shipped to me once finished. Anyway, he's finally home, my little Jack Frost and he's everything on the official pictures and so much more!

Opening up there was the set of clothing for Pitch along with a pair of shoes that will get to go with that dress I'm waiting on.

Underneath it all there he is, halfway a mummy, his COA and at his feet an event head.

Pitch looking somewhat ominous here, sporting his new threads. So good seeing him with proper clothing instead of a linnen cloth wrapped around his waist.

Jack had to borrow some clothing and Taffy was as kind letting him wear this just until I have his hoodie and trousers sewn together.

And there's the happy couple, can't wait to have Jack painted and dressed up, being able to shoot some pictures of the both of them to really show them off to the world.

AyuAna

A couple days ago I sat really wanting a dress for Merida. Like really, really, wanted a dress for her. I could sew one myself, sure, but because of my job increasingly taking up pretty much all of my time I don't have time before summer is well over and then a bit. A friend of mine suggested I'd go look on etsy, and, even though there were only 10 matches or so, there were only one dress coming close to something akin to Merida's medieval dress. Must say I've fallen hard for AyuAna and their amazing creations!

I will be getting this stunning dress here for Merida and she will finally be a lot more complete than she currently is.

All she's been wearing in ages have been an old night dress, my intentions were I'd find fabrics, sew her something pretty to wear. Just didn't happen. Have in mind contacting them at some point and ask for a commission piece and have them make me one of her dresses from the movie along with undergarments, cost whatever it may.

Also placed an order for a set of clothing, for the guy who I had a little fun painting like some emo-punk-whatever which was in my last post, along with some flower headdresses. Couldn't stop myself.

Looking forward to receiving all of this in the mail soon, even thinking of doing a video of sorts, I don't know. Never done any BJD related videos before so don't know if I will be saying anything or what. Just have this urge to make a video for some reason, but we'll see.

Of Arrivals and Face-ups

Bo finally arrived home a couple days ago and is he ever the cute wee one!
I had him borrow a yukata from one of the other kids here and, though I had ordered a pair of eyes for him, the ones I found in me Jar of Eyes is a definite keep for him. I don't really have a clue from where they are from but I'm almost 100% certain they came along with one of the guys here at some point or other.
Sadly the weather is all gone to shits with plenty of rain and cold and zero sun. I would really have prefered if the weather hadn't turned for the worse as I'd have loved being able to start painting him.
Anyway, here's the kiddo with his adorable pouty lips and button nose.

I'm going to be buying a few pairs of extra hands for him as I'd like some more natural hand poses besides his eternal peace signing and pointy finger on the other hand.

Now I'm just wanting for AC to send Jack on his way. The only thing being a hindrance for that is EndlessBJD not having finished up on my order of a dress, that even after over 3 months. It's getting a bit irritating as I had actually thought it'd be finished in time for when Jack would be sent on his way up here. It's why I ordered it, now I'm regretting it a little. Just hope they'll finish up on it soon as Jack is simply waiting for that silly dress to be completed. Would be nice if they had a notice board or a banner saying they were behind schedule, very busy because of a lot of orders, I'd understand that, but they haven't any of that. It's not that I'm made purely of impatience, but after 3 months one would expect an order to be finished, or am I wrong in thinking that?

Also recently got a few faces painted and I'm nearly finished too. The weather was amazing last Friday, blue skies and the sun high in the sky. I got some paint in those cheeks of Harry Potter and Minoru.

Upon painting Harry I noticed his one nostril being larger on the one side compared to the other. Hadn't noticed this back when he was blank. For a split second it bothered me a little but then I thought, to heck with that, he's perfect anyway! And then later that night I came up with a brilliant explanation as to for why his nose looks like that. He works as an Auror, accidents happen, they're bound to, some shit went down and he hurt his nose and before Mediwizards could get to him Muggles had brought him to a hospital and stitched him up. Shit happens, no?

Also, just look at those Scarlet Johansson lips, they really look something fierce like hers if you ask me and I can't unsee it. Perhaps it'll change when I add some more detail to them but I doubt it.

It's a shame one can't really see the blooper on his chin from where sealant did something weird, instead of thinking I had to remove it all again I instead embraced it and thought, hey melasma! I really want him to have a very soft expression  and love how it's turning out so far.

Also tried my hand at a third one, but, eh, it didn't really, uhh, well, see for yourselves:

I couldn't figure out at all what I wanted for him so I just went berserk and did whatever, and I don't even know. This was me not even being serious and part of me had hoped it would spark something in me but nope.

After wiping his face clean from that disaster up there I got the idea to do something inspired a little of BlueOxyde's boys. I sadly haven't had the chance to do anything much because the good weather didn't stick around after Friday. At least now I have an idea of how to paint him.

Of new arrivals and a bit of splurging

Because of my tax returns I could finally pay up on this cutie patootie from a friend of mine in the Netherlands. He was just too adorable, those chubby little cheeks, button nose and pouty lips, couldn't stand for it! When I expressed my interest they were so grand as to hold him for me and said I could take as long as I needed to pay them. Hadn't expected to have him home for some 2-3 more months, but hey, luck shone my way :D
Also went ahead and splurged on some clothing, eyes and a wig for him, though all of it won't arrive before who knows when exactly. The clothing was some 5-8 weeks, eyes are little over a month perhaps two, and the wig 1-2 weeks tops. Waiting times aside it needed home nonetheless! This little guy, if all goes according to plan, should arrive home next week at some point. Can't wait to greet him and have him meet all of his new little friends along with everyone else here! Precious little ankle biter ♥

Rambling ahead

Think I've changed my mind about the sculpt for being Hiro. Going back to one I previously ditched as he, at the time, didn't really strike me as quite the right fit. Reason behind this was me not really believing that there wasn't anything out there better, some sculpt with a bigger, wider, nose of sorts. So back to looking at sculpts I went for the first choice back when I first went on the hunt; IpleHouse. Once more I fell over their JID Colin and the more I looked the more right it felt, even comparing the SoulDoll Hunoi and Colin without face-ups had me change my mind about SoulDoll entirely. That decided I now just have to wait until I've got money and I'll start a layaway to bring the kiddo home.

That said, the day draws ever nearer when AlicesCollections will send Jack Frost (DollFamily-A Wen) on his way up here! From what they told me he should be sent on his way come next week, which I really hope because I'm turning increasingly impatient for each day that passes by. There's this relentless restlessness inside of me that's jumping around, screaming and laughing, not able to contain all the happiness and joy. Really can't wait to see the boy, like, at all! Not anymore anyway, I was pretty calm and collected about it a few weeks ago, but not anymore, not by far. Even brings a smile to my face imagining how small he will be next to Pitch standing 70cm tall while Jack is only 56cm tall. But he will be perfect, they will be perfect, everything will be perfect. Going to have to re-make Jack's staff, good thing I never entirely finished the one I had already started making a while back. And can't wait to sew him his clothing, already have the fabrics and everything else needed at the ready for when he comes home, all hyped about seeing it come together at long last. I also hope for some sunny weather to come around so that I can get him painted on my days off. Ah, this is all so exciting! It's like time is standing still, though it really isn't, but I just want him home so badly and that now and not later. He's nearly the only thing running through my head lately and I can't help it, who could? When you know it's just a moment before shipping and it's so close you can almost and then not at all and for f's sake just send me that confirmation mail with a shipping number for me to abuse already! This is pure torture and hell, but oh, is it ever sweet! Yeah, no, I don't know what I'm trying to say anymore, just rambling at this point xD
