BO - MysticKids Oscar WS

It's been ages here I last did a BO like this, always just gone right ahead and opened the box and shot some pictures later, don't know what was different this time around. Perhaps because I've really been looking forward to receiving this kiddo? Perhaps because I got almost no sleep last night because I was all excitedly laying thinking of him arriving in the mail today? Perhaps that made me want to shoot up a string of pictures to share, oh, and the fact that there aren't a whole lot of pictures of this sculpt, at least I haven't come across all that many.

So, back to what really matters here, the box, and what is inside of the box!

Obligatory box-within-a-box

And the box-out-of-a-box

Got him with his fullset clothing and shoes, had ordered a wig as well which didn't fit, all thanks to wrong measurements stated by the company, no Bueno. MK boy dolls have a head measuring 17cm not 18,5cm. Oh well. And a furry white burrito owo

And out of said furry white burrito this little handsome guy, all interfitted with a pair of undies, didn't know they did that, but hey, awesome not having to spend time looking for some underwear for him just yet.

Out of the restraints and sitting, the body is wonderful getting to pose. The knees are a bit tricky and something one need to get used to, there are three grooves hidden in there which will click in place as you bend the knee, it's really quite neat making him quite the champ at holding an array of poses.

And of course, if you have a cat the first thing they do is jump into that discarded cardboard box xD

All clothed and the free pair of eyes put in place (not some he's going to keep, neither is the wig) and he's just so damn adorable! The outfit is nice enough, just don't feel like it was entirely worth the $80 pricetag as some of the materials used feels cheap and flimsy to the touch and I don't much like the plastic snaps they used. They're always almost impossible to pry open and close again, might switch them for some metal snaps instead. But the overall design of it I absolutely adore! And well, somehow, those $80 are a small price to pay compared having to have him sit naked, for who knows how long, as I am busy sewing at the moment and wouldn't have time to sew anything for him just yet.

It's really a shame with that wig, but now I've ordered up one from FMD in the same style as Norman, Jeremiah, and Theodore. Going to paint him like them as well, going for that whole porcelain doll look and he will probably also sport those long eyelashes with a few glittering rhinestones in them to top off the look.

Bonus

Because I wanted to see how they'd look sitting together. Norman's got a slightly larger head, also like how much more mature he looks compared to Angus, guessing that might change once I get him painted and in the right wig!
