Got my DoA triathlon price in the mail today owo A DollPamm Tirka in WS, and wow is it beautiful! Going to be fun working on it and have it be some mythical creature of sorts. I'd like to express my gratitude for the doll to DollPamm, this doll is a stunning work of art!
As I found a need for it, seeing as people are so easily duped on eBay and will perhaps buy a recast by mistake, because, let’s face it, there are a ton of BJDs listed on eBay. You might find a neat deal and someone new to the hobby will jump the gun and burn their fingers. You don’t always know if a given seller will sell you the real deal or a fake and this is a nice way of gathering all known official dealers into one to make things more manageable.
So here you are, a small list compiled of official BJD dealers on eBay!
Because of my tax returns I could finally pay up on this cutie patootie from a friend of mine in the Netherlands. He was just too adorable, those chubby little cheeks, button nose and pouty lips, couldn't stand for it! When I expressed my interest they were so grand as to hold him for me and said I could take as long as I needed to pay them. Hadn't expected to have him home for some 2-3 more months, but hey, luck shone my way :D Also went ahead and splurged on some clothing, eyes and a wig for him, though all of it won't arrive before who knows when exactly. The clothing was some 5-8 weeks, eyes are little over a month perhaps two, and the wig 1-2 weeks tops. Waiting times aside it needed home nonetheless! This little guy, if all goes according to plan, should arrive home next week at some point. Can't wait to greet him and have him meet all of his new little friends along with everyone else here! Precious little ankle biter ♥
There are no and never will be any valid reason for people to knowingly buy recasts. It hurts the artists, it hurts the hobby, it hurts the community. It's a purely selfish act. Please do the right thing. If you really truly love these dolls, show you mean it, support that artist by buying their creations. Their livelihoods and the continued existence of the hobby depends on it.
Got quite an unexpected package today in the mail, not that I'm complaining, Our postal service treats packages worse and worse it seems, quite tattered and beaten up this box.
At least everything was as should be inside of the box though it could have been battered near flat and that sheet of bubble-wrap wouldn't have been much of any protection
Found it a bit odd the head didn't come in some sort of protective box, seeing how little the postal service cares for treating packages lately.
And here he is in all his naked glory, he looks exactly like on DODs official pictures even without face-up. Usually there's something not quite as in their pictures so got positively surprised.
Seeing this handsome face almost makes me want to bring the other two Valentine heads home, not because I have any plans but all because I can xD

see if I could find a pair with smaller but still round frames or simply an
entirely different type. I'll figure it out.
Chilling with Draco after the long trip from Korea catching up on things
My friend tempted me a few days ago and I fell for said temptation. Had already voiced that this little kiddo were the cutest little thing and that I’d love to one day bring him home. At least it spared me for the customs and having to wait ever so patiently.
Anyway…
Give a warm welcome to little Luke, an AprilStory Fairy Minggu, the adorablest little kiddo on the block standing proudly at 14cm tall, or well, at least one of them. His eyes are on the way in the mail and I’ll be making his wig myself as it’s not exactly easy finding nice wigs out there for such small heads and clothing are in the making. Will be sure to spam you with pictures once I get him put together properly!

Need to practice painting eyebrows, like, loads more. But I can say this in my defence; I’m slowly, but steadily, getting better. Can we just agree eyebrows are a pain in the ass to paint sometimes?
And that face of Harry’s won't stick around for long, at least as being that character. He’s just started to bug me the wrong way so getting another sculpt home better suited (DOD Valentine head01).
Went to work on the newly arrived lad today, sanded down his nose some as I found it too pointy, else I just went bonkers giving him as many freckles as his pretty little face could possibly carry. Something like it anyway. And I painted those eyebrows in one go, no making guiding lines, no nothing, just went straight for it. There’s a first for everything as they say.
Will shoot some better pictures tomorrow, perhaps have him borrow a body for a few, until then, enjoy this teaser.
So, got new eyes for some of the guys here along with a new guy.
His name is Derek and he’s an AngelHeim Zion in NS. He needs a wig, eyes and not entirely sure where to find him a body yet, but I’ll figure it out. Back to the eyes, all from Mako and their new Owl line. They look just as stunning in real life as in their pictures. It's fast becoming my favourite series of eyes from them.
The pictures were kind of hurried as the light were slowly disappearing, so, I didn't get to take some proper closeups. These will have to do for now.
After having watched Brave a handful of times back when it got up on NF I started getting the idea to find a suiting sculpt for Merida. This idea grew until I started looking around for an actual sculpt as well and some 3-4 months back I also found one. An AngellStudio Dana which with a few modifications here and there will be just perfect in my eyes as the 16 year old fiery redheaded wee lass, Princess Merida of Dun Broch. Going to sand down her nose to make it more button like, lips needs to be rounded off some more and her eyes needs opening.
Her eyes, which are already on their way, are from Mako and from their Owl series. Found the most perfect wig at etsy which are also well on it's way here.
First time ever that I've felt excited about getting home a girl and she will get to be the only one, any other girl dolls I see I just want to put their heads on a male body xD
Nearly all here sports a face-up done by my hand, just need about another 10 re-painted and it’s all my work and I pride myself with this. It’s also opened my eyes for how much I’ve improved since my first face-up. It’s been an amazing journey and I can only get better the more I practice.
Haven’t a picture of the very first but the second try I do have, the little guy isn’t with us anymore as he grew up on me so found him a new home, anyway:
Plenty, once thought it was oh so scary, but really it isn’t. Have done so many nose-jobs, sanding down cheeks, chins, opening eyes, re-shaped a body, torso-joints and what have we. Have yet to try my hand at dying resin, but I’d love to try one day!
One of the first mods I did was on Nathaniel, a LeekeWorld Eiden.
Sanded his lips down, nose, rounded his chin and slimmed down his cheeks a bit too.
Then there was the case of Liam, who first got a little smile on his usually pouty lips which I got a little help with from someone at a meet so can’t take full credit for this one.
Then after a while it wasn’t quite enough and I sat down with sanding paper and knives once again to modify him further.
Here his nose, lips, chin, jaw and cheeks have been sanded and I opened his mouth.
My most recent modding project is this little guy here (4S Olivia girl to boy mod).
Got his chin sanded down, as it was a tad too long for my likes, chest sanded down and reshaped, torso joint modification and lastly sculpted a penis.
I have a lot of modifications yet on my list, another torso joint to make, a guy here needing his mouth opened a bit, eyes to open, a body needing some more work as I’m not entirely satisfied with it yet, yup, I’m a busy little bee.
There are so many, not just one, the clothing I’ve sown myself are the ones I’m most proud of and are among the favourites. Sure, the things they’ve got home from other companies are great, but there’s just something about it when you alone have put so many hours and effort into a piece of clothing and not just chosen ‘the easy way out’.
